Magali Thibault-Gobeil
Research and experimentation are the driving force behind Magali’s creations. Driven by a desire not only to contribute to fine art jewellery as a discipline, but also to challenge the current field itself, her work is based on a search for fluidity in both form and colour. Magali graduated from the École de joaillerie de Montréal in 2013. Throughout her career, her innovative practice has been recognized by numerous awards, bursaries and honours. In 2014, she received the First Presence Award at the Salon des métiers d’art de Montréal. She is also the recipient of the prestigious Prix François-Houdé (2017) and was a finalist at the Niche Student Awards (2013, United States) and the Arts and Craft Awards (2014, Croatia).
