Aurélie Guillaume

Aurélie Guillaume, born in Montreal, Quebec (1990) is a French-Canadian jeweller, enamelist and illustrator. She was trained at the École de joaillerie de Montréal and then at NSCAD University in Halifax. She gained recognition for her work after winning the 12th National Student Jewellery Competition organized by L.A. Pai Gallery. Since then, she has been invited to take part in an impressive number of exhibitions in North America, Europe and Asia. Aurélie Guillaume’s work highlights the history of enamelling and its long tradition of illustrating stories. Using traditional techniques, her work revives the technique in a contemporary context influenced by street art, comics, Pop Art and counter-culture.
