Montreal’s Galerie Noel Guyomarc’h is once again going to SOFA international fair (Sculpture Objects Functional Art and design), in Chicago, for the fourth year in a row. Now running since 1994, SOFA Chicago is a major event in the field of arts and design, and is entirely dedicated to three dimensional works that cross the borders between fine art, decorative art and design. Rather than presenting artists directly, SOFA works with galleries and dealers who themselves represent artists and their work.

This year, Galerie Noel Guyomarc’h will be presenting the largest selection of Quebec artists at such an event. American collectors will be able to see recent collections by some of ÉJM’s teachers, including Matthieu CheminéeChristine LarochellePierre-Yves Paquette and Petra Luz, and our alumni Lawrence WoodfordGabrielle DesmaraisAurélie GuillaumeAnne-Sophie ValléeMagali Thibault GobeilJosée Desjardins and Catherine Granche. Their works will be shown alongside pieces by Quebec artists Silvie AltschulerCatherine SheedyBarbara StutmanJanis Kerman and Marie-Eve G. Castonguay.
